After being called a "tracer" in Junior High by some guy who I felt did not draw as well as I did, I decided it was time to try and be original. Making sure that I did not duplicate styles of other influences of mine and to come up with my own characters, my own poses and my own versions of things I liked and admired. I didn't wanna have art that looked like Jim Lee's, I didn't want someone to say, I've seen that pose or I've seen that character before. I wanted to be original and creative.

I guess I owe him for getting me out of the whole duplicating art thing and venturing towards my own designs. Still think he's a punk, but thanks anyways. Can you believe the guy had the nerve to tell someone, me being close enough to hear, that I did not hold a candle to his art? The nerve... Never put down another artists work to his face...

So here's a collection of my attempts at doing so...

Original Designs/Sketches

Original Female Design Sketches

A few of the ones I have on the bottom set are not mine. I put em here to illustrtae why my son will be a killer artist too... the first two where drawn by my wife, Stephanie.

Enjoy the Gallery, and let me know what you think!
