When I went to college in UCSC, I joined the residential staff. In my second year on staff, they wanted to get us sweaters. Now, if you saw the shirts they give us the last time, you'd understand my desire to do the new design, not to mention the college symbol they had was supposed to be a bird that no one could tell what kind of bird it was supposed to be. So I took upon myself to do a redesign based on the original one.
Unfortunately, I found out in the future that no one could tell what kind of bird it was because the bird it was based on was one from an Aztec or south American culture of the past, a rune or etching of a bird, so it was somewhat abstract. But now, thanks to me, the bird has been brought into the present as seen here in the redesign on the residential life sweater.
I am not proud of the fact that I probably ousted the history of the bird, but I am proud of the fact that I got to leave something behind for my old college.
